Netiquette - how to behave on Comfu |

 When you are cooperating with students from other countries and cultures it is very important to be aware of the way that you communicate.
What you consider to be normal language/behaviour might be quite offensive in another country.
That's why you have to read and accept the following rules and guidelines to be able to enter Comfu.
Comfu Netiquette
When you chose to take part in this project it is yours as well as the other members' responsibility that the communication takes place in a proper tone.
When you write on the Internet to someone you don't know remember, everything looks different, and harsher, in written words compared to spoken words. So, please moderate very strong expressions.
Don't use capital letters (called 'online shouting') and many !!!'s
Don't write things to people that you wouldn't tell them face-to-face.
Do have in mind, that the recipient is also a human being, not a machine.
Respect other people's opinions, even if they are very different from yours. But of course you can comment on and discuss opinions and ideas. That is what it is all about.
Don't use racist or sexist language.
Comfu is under surveillance and members who are not acting in accordance with this netiquette will excluded. |
